Robin Barnes – Rescue Me

Robin Barnes is one of the busiest performers around town. Rightfully so, and in the last few years Robin has become a bonafide tour-de-force. All of her hard work & perseverance has paid off in the form of her new ep titled “ME” due out today!

Make no mistake, we’re huge fans of Robin’s. In between private functions, her many regular top-notch gigs around town, she still had the time to record this stellar 5 track EP. The thing that keeps me so inflamed with pride for Nola is seeing artists like Robin and several others showing the world how unique and un-mistakable their sound is. Moreover, Robin is staying true to herself and her craft in a very authentic way. That certainly comes across throughout the entire EP. Each song stands out on it’s own all the while remaining consistently Robin.

Impeccably recorded, “ME” has been round-tripping through all my devices. I can’t get over Robin’s confidence and tenderness of her voice in “In Your Arms”. It sounds as though the organ is tied directly into her vocal and flows with each verse. The track is just soaked in the B3. “In Your Arms” is a close second to “What I Gotta Do”, which features friend of the program, Jake Smith. It’s my favorite track of the EP and should be her first big hit.
