In just a few short days, one of my favorite bands from the past year or so is coming to town! Lake Street Dive recently released their latest record “Side Pony”, named after one of the 80’s coolest and most memorable hair styles, you guessed it, the side pony. Produced by the hardest working producer in music, Dave Cobb, LSD has produced a record that is eclectic, funky and tight, and most importantly soulful. I’m emphatically crazy for the song “I Don’t Care About You” (video below), as well as, come to think of it, pretty much every other track on the record. The harmony between the foursome is pretty fucking legit, and I can’t wait to see them in person when they come to town next week!
