New Orleans’ own PJ Morton has made it back home to Nola and has hit the ground running with the release of his latest record “Bounce & Soul Volume 1”. PJ has so aptly partnered with PJ’s Coffee this week in launching the munch anticipated drop by offering a FREE copy at it’s stores all across town. The release also marks the first record release under Morton’s own record label, Morton Records. Below is some more exciting info about the release!
“PJ Morton’s Mixtape, Bounce and Soul Volume 1. In the mixtape, PJ Morton mixes his signature soul sound with the classic New Orleans bounce beat, and features many local musicians including Juvenile, Lil Wayne, Trombone Shorty, Mannie Fresh, Dee-1, 5th Ward Weebie and Mack Maine!
To celebrate PJ’s Bounce and Soul Volume 1 launch, PJ’s Coffee will be exclusively giving away FREE copies of the mixtape beginning Thursday, March 24th at 45 PJ’s Coffee Locations in Louisiana (store roster attached with locations). The mixtape will be available on iTunes and additional venues for purchase on Friday, March 25th.
In addition, PJ’s Coffee and Morton Records (PJ’s Record Label) will be hosting a welcome home/birthday celebration concert for PJ Morton on Friday, March 25th at the Howlin Wolf. Doors open at 8, show begins at 9; The show will feature sounds by DJ Raj Smoove, and performances by PJ Morton & the Crusade, Tank and the Bangas, Dee-1 and Jcksn Ave (plus many more exciting guests!).”
