It's been a long time home-coming for the Nola bred coffee outpost Revelator Coffee. A few months ago, Revelator Nola opened in a super cosy spot on Tchoupitoulas in the heart of the Warehouse District, to a ton of well deserved fanfare. Each neighborhood around the city has it's own distinct coffee shop and it was time for the Warehouse District to get its own.
Even though New Orleans is its 3rd location, it seems to be the one that truly cements their future and is super close to the hearts of the company. Though the space is narrow, it carries a sense of warmth and a level of inclusion that's hard to replicate. The center of the space's universe is the long sleek counter that invites guest to be participants in the experience as opposed to just guests. This is a super simple thing, but I appreciate the height of the counter and the level of intention given to each customer without prevention.
Their offerings are as simple and effective as their beans and brews. The beans are directly sourced from their own roasting plant located just a few hours away in Birmingham, Alabama. Not only are their coffee ingredients true and effective, they also serve super fresh pastries from pals Gracious Bakery, and have a great selection of juices from another one of our local favorites, City Greens.
Revelator has become one of my home away from homes and is one of those places I love to camp out and catch up on things. Their ice coffee is super legit and you can't be their offerings. Check it out this weekend on your way to the Saints game in the dome or anytime your out and about.
