Alexa King

remember the first time I saw our latest profile Alexa King’s (Electraking on Instagram) work earlier this year. Her images have a subtlety and depth in light and color. Alexa’s images truly stand out and I couldn’t help but stalk the film professional/photographer’s eclectic and amazing feed. Honestly, to this day, I still marvel at her cinematic style.

Just a few weeks ago, Instagram made news by overtaking long standing Twitter in sheer number of users. For me personally, I couldn’t be more hooked. We have such savvy & passionate community of creatives here in Nola, and they’re sharing it all on Instagram.

I remember the first time I saw our latest profile Alexa King’s (Electraking on Instagram) work earlier this year. Her images have a subtlety and depth in light and color. Alexa’s images truly stand out and I couldn’t help but stalk the film professional/photographer’s eclectic and amazing feed. Honestly, to this day, I still marvel at her cinematic style.

It all made sense when I recently spent time chatting and shooting around the Marigny with her. With a background in film and production, Alexa has a keen eye for composition as well as hunting down the best light for the moment. I had so much fun getting Alexa from behind the camera and you can check those images out below. I’ve also included some of my favorite images from her feed, including a handful from her ongoing her ridiculously cool series “Girls In Motels”. Remember to follow her on Instagram to catch a glimpse into her world.
